Web 2.0 - eQuiz Show

Name: eQuizShow
URL: equizshow.com

This website creates a "Jeopardy" style game show, and allows two teams to play against each other in a friendly competition.

I can see this web tool being used in almost every single class, because it's a great and innovative way to assess the knowledge of students, while keeping them engaged. From a student's point of view, I think it would be best used in a presentation, to quiz their peers on what they'd just talked about.

The program itself is very easy to use; you simply create 5 categories of questions, and list 5 questions under each category. The questions should be ranked similarly to Jeopardy, with the easiest question in the first slot, and the hardest in the last slot.

Sample Project: http://equizshow.com/play/66296

Tutorial:

  1. Choose a general topic/subject to base your quiz around, and give your quiz an appropriate name.
  2. Create 5 different categories of questions that all fit under your general topic.
  3. Under each category column, create 5 questions that go from easiest to hardest. Make sure that you put the question and answer for each questions!
  4. When all 25 slots are filled up and you're satisfied with your quiz, click "Save & Submit" at the bottom of the page. This should take you to a page where you can either save the 'play' link or the 'edit' link, depending on what you feel like.
  5. Enjoy your new, engaging game!
