3D Printing
While I had done some 3D Printing in the past, this was an entirely new experience. When I took CAD/CAM/CNC 9, I simply made the design, and gave it to Ms. Desrochers to print! I was very pleased to have the opportunity to actually use the 3D printer for myself. We initially ran into a few problems with setting up the 3D printer; for example, the filament was broken into several pieces, and lodged inside of the tube. Because of this, we had to spend a full double block trying to clear the tube! Once the tube was cleared, I had a few problems calibrating the printer. However, once I'd figured out how to properly calibrate the machine, the printing process ran very smoothly, and I ended up with the above product! This is a key chain of the popular brand "Supreme," and I am very happy with how it turned out. It was fascinating to see how the printer formed the inside of the key chain to save material, and it's truly a very interesting concept. ...
